Rossetya story

A nation which doesn’t know its past will always make the same kind of mistakes...so it can’t performe evolutions.

We, Romanians can’t  gate pshically back in time for getting alive values of the past in our times...
 Rosetya restaurant is situated in the center of old Bucharest - "The Little Paris" -, in a place which  reproduce a fresco decoration typical of the XIX th century.

 Considering that  XIX th century is a period of european social transformings which influence the evolution of some Romanian countries still broken dawn territorially and politically, we can speak  like been in times of seeking and polishing of Romanian identity.
 In the 7 menu options: Monastery, Bourgeois, Greek- Phanariot, French, Russian, Austro-Hungarian, Turkish-Oriental, Rossetya tryes to bring in present the evolutin and transforming of Romanian social classes, which are  reflected alsoe in our gastronomy.

 We can speak about the end of the XVIII th century and beginning of the XIX th century, in wich the favourite of times were glad of feasts Brancovanien style which last 2-3 days and in wich were served 60-80 of different food, expecially meats and venison, in the oven, at spit or stifled in holes digged  in the ground...In the same time the less lucky used to eat porridge from grain and millet.
Our menu makes the transition towards  the Romanian emancipation period, which takes over th  french customs in the certain life of revolution in 1848 but also from european traditions in the same time with Carol I installation...
